Integrated Teacher Education Program

The Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) pathway offers students the opportunity to earn their Bachelor of Arts degree and multiple subjects teaching credential in four years! Transfer students can complete their Bachelor of Arts degree and multiple subjects teaching credential in two years!

Students interested in teaching will start taking a limited number of teaching credential classes during their bachelor’s degree program in Liberal Studies or Liberal Arts and during the summer terms. This takes at least one year off of the current traditional path allowing graduates to jump into their profession one year early!

In addition to the multiple subjects credential, students can choose to pursue an Education Specialist credential or a Bilingual Authorization, expanding their expertise and career opportunities.

Transfer students who have earned an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) in a similar pathway or have the required pre-requisite classes, are also eligible to apply for a 2 Year pathway with FPU’s Degree Completion program in Liberal Arts.
